We are a Black femme-owned apothecary crafting tinctures, teas, syrups and salves in unceded Lenni Lenape territory. Our mission is to help people ground into their own innate power as healers, draw strength from the plant world—and act on behalf of the planet.

In attuning to the earth, we discover a bottomless well of wisdom. From this great well, our formulas harvest the power of the plants that thrive on the margins.

With goods that are made by hand using local, foraged and organic materials, we are guided by principles of ecological restoration. Our blends are curated with what is abundant and in season.

Olamina Botanicals founder Jess Turner is a clinical herbalist whose practice is centered on helping frontline communities—low-income, working-class and BIPOC communities who experience the “first and worst” impacts of climate change—repair through connection to the land and plants growing around them. In cities, these plants are often discarded as mere weeds.

Honored to have arrived at a place where she can be of service to her community, Jess draws strength from her people’s resilience in the face of oppression.
