Laura Stinger is an interdisciplinary artist working in performance, sculpture, and video. Her work examines performance of identity in virtual spaces, consumption of desire, and failures in communication. Performance is used as a place to push individuality, queerness, and chaotic complexity, while also finding an authentic modern spirituality. In her work, she creates situations that in their live-ness, in their rebelliousness, and in their messiness, attack the homogeneity and crippling blandness of capitalism, choosing to see art as a responsibility and a political act of radical collaboration.
