About Worn Ware:
"What started as a long-term obsession with thrifting and finding unique, inexpensive clothes for my queer friends & lovers has evolved into a multifaceted exploration of style and queer culture. As a vintage purveyor, I spend a good amount of time sourcing clothes at my local thrift stores, cleaning and reworking the fabric as needed, and selling to a growing community of customers at affordable prices. I am deeply invested in people of all genders and sizes finding clothes they feel good in, and in facilitating affirming shopping experiences - whether at my booth at the Rose Bowl Flea Market or pop-up sales in my backyard. Most recently, I’ve also been experimenting with natural dyes from turmeric and onion skins as well as acrylic paints to revitalize discolored or slightly stained garments. Central to my project are ideas of value and desirability - considering secondhand clothes, style, and identity with a queer lens."
